Parvovirose canine: comment garder ces patients en vie? Evaluation à l’admission, stabilisation, fluidothérapie, nutrition, analgésie, antibiothérapie, monitoring

Cette conférence vous expliquera comment prendre en charge la Parvovirose canine. Cette présentation se veut très pratique et s’appuiera sur un cas concret qui permettra d’illustrer les différents points théoriques abordés. Dans un premier temps, nous évaluerons ensemble le patient à son admission et discuterons de sa stabilisation en urgence (traitement du choc, de l’hypoglycémie, antibiothérapie, analgésie). Dans un second temps seront discutés les traitements de support suivants : fluidothérapie et comment l’ajuster pendant l’hospitalisation, ainsi que la nutrition. Finalement, le monitoring et les potentielles complications seront revus brièvement.

Dr. Liz Guieu obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2008. Afterwards, she completed a rotating internship followed by an Emergency and Critical Care fellowship at the Vet School of Maisons-Alfort (Paris, France). She then completed her residency at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), and is now a diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC), 2016. She has recently returned to the University of Liège (Belgium) to lead the ICU team. Her primary interests include mechanical ventilation, sepsis, patient care and developing a strong nursing team.
