Environmental Enrichment: can living conditions lead to cat's behavioural problems?

To prevent behavioral problems, the enrichment of the living household must be the basis to guarantee that cats are having all their behavioral needs ensured. This way, together with some specific training, we will prevent adequately behavioral problems. However, when the cat presents with a behavioral problem, the origin of its negative emotional state or lack of control of its positive emotional state, needs to be identified to treat it. And the environment is, in many cases, the origin of this unbalanced emotional state. For all those reasons, knowing the basis of Environmental Enrichment applicable to every cats' household, is a "must" in every veterinarian training to make sure the correct and adequate message is spread to the owners.
